I love the setting, the simplicity, the gentle humour and its juxtaposition with the atmosphere. I loved this ad.

Alzheimer’s Society

Powerful storytelling, with a score that just carries you along. Not the first ad I’ll cry at, and it won’t be the last, but it’s one of the most affecting from 2021 for me.

Greenpeace

This grabbed me immediately - simple again, and so striking.

NHS England

Don’t think I could let a 2021 ad round-up go by without a COVID vaccine-themed video, and this was probably my favourite.

Nike

The message here is great, and it’s a wonderful contrast with so many of those ‘high-performance’ sport ads you see.

Oatly

The grainy, focus-group style here makes it stand out, and makes it more compelling than it really should be. A frivolous spin for their more serious campaign.

Guide Dogs UK

Lovely animation, easy watching and surprisingly heart-wrenching (especially for us dog parents).

Bonus: SRUK charity

Including as a cause that’s very close to my heart. Find out about the symptoms to look out for and how SRUK help support people with scleroderma, raise awareness and fund research.
